AbbVie’s $600 Million Guidance Lift: Can Skyrizi & Rinvoq Keep Delivering?
AbbVie reported second quarter 2026 results that surpassed internal guidance, with adjusted earnings per share (EPS) reaching $3.65, exceeding the midpoint by $0.06. Total net revenues approached $17 billion, reflecting a 10.2% operational growth and surpassing expectations by approximately $300 million. The company’s major growth drivers included strong performances from immunology products Skyrizi and Rinvoq, as well as its neuroscience portfolio, each exhibiting growth rates above 20%. Full year revenue guidance was raised by $300 million and has been increased by $600 million since the beginning of the year. In immunology, revenues totaled nearly $8.8 billion, with Skyrizi sales at $5.5 billion, up 24%, underpinned by robust market share gains in psoriasis and expanding uptake in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). AbbVie does not foresee material disruption from new competitive therapies given Skyrizi’s differentiated clinical profile and demonstrated long-term data. Rinvoq sales increased 23.7% to over $2.
