Honeywell Technologies’ Hidden Growth Engine: Buildings, Data Centers And LNG!
Honeywell Technologies reported second quarter 2026 results reflecting the early impact of its transformation into a pure-play automation company following the June 29 spin-off of Honeywell Aerospace. Excluding Aerospace and adjusting for divestitures and acquisitions, the company delivered 4% organic sales growth driven primarily by strong performances in Building Automation, Process Automation and Technology (PA&T), and Industrial Automation segments. Orders rose 16% organically, supported by broad demand and leading to a 9% increase in backlog, with notable short-cycle order growth across all segments. Segment margin expanded by 100 basis points, reaching 19%, aided by volume leverage, productivity improvements, and cost reduction initiatives, despite inflationary pressures and unfavorable mix in PA&T. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) rose 10% to $1.95, overcoming a $0.16 EPS headwind from a higher effective tax rate, with further support from lower interest expenses and debt reduction.
