Avantor Performance Materials’ $550 Million Cash Flow Outlook: Is Revival Working?
Avantor Performance Materials, Inc. reported second-quarter 2026 results that reflected modest improvement in key financial metrics amid ongoing operational transformation under its Revival program. Total revenue was $1.69 billion, showing a slight 0.4% organic decline but a 0.5% increase on a reported basis. The VWR Distribution & Services segment demonstrated a return to organic growth with a 1.7% increase driven largely by deliberate commercial actions, brand revitalization, and e-commerce enhancements such as the relaunched vwr.com platform. This segment’s improved performance was supported by stronger relationships with large global customers, expanded new business wins, and accelerating growth within small and midsized customer segments. However, certain end markets like education and select European geographies remain stable at subdued levels, tempering overall growth prospects. The Bioscience & Medtech Products (BMP) segment experienced a 5.6% organic revenue decline year-over-year, although results were near the high end of management expectations and demonstrated sequential improvement.
