Gallagher & Co. has extended its acquisition strategy into digital insurance with the purchase of Vancouver-based Apollo Insurance Solutions Ltd., a Canadian digital broker and managing general agency focused primarily on tenant insurance. Announced on August 5, 2026, the transaction adds Apollo’s proprietary technology platform, which uses artificial intelligence to streamline insurance placement, while keeping founder Jeff McCann and his team in place under Gallagher’s Canadian retail property and casualty leadership. The acquisition arrives shortly after Gallagher reported another strong quarter, with combined Brokerage and Risk Management revenue increasing 24%, organic growth reaching 6%, and management reiterating that mergers and acquisitions remain one of the company’s four core strategic pillars. Gallagher also entered the second half with more than 30 acquisition term sheets signed or in preparation, representing roughly $500 million of annualized revenue, reinforcing how consistently inorganic expansion remains embedded in its growth model.
