EMCOR Group’s Five Acquisitions Add $625 Million In Revenue — What Comes Next?
The EMCOR Group reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2026, with revenues reaching $5.15 billion, marking a 19.8% increase year-over-year, or 19.6% on an organic basis. Operating income rose nearly 32% to $547 million, yielding an operating margin of 10.6%, while diluted earnings per share increased by 35% to $9.06. These figures signify robust demand and consistent execution across multiple business segments. Electrical Construction and Mechanical Construction segments generated revenue growth of 24% and 31%, respectively, both setting quarterly records. The Electrical Construction segment’s operating margin expanded by 210 basis points to 13.9%, whereas Mechanical Construction’s operating margin declined slightly by 110 basis points to 12.5%, attributed primarily to a higher proportion of construction management and cost-plus contracts carrying lower margins. Building Services experienced a 5.6% revenue increase, with operating income growth of 26.6% and margin expansion to 7.
