APA Corporation’s Latest Acquisition Could Give Its Alaska Strategy A Major Boost!
APA Corporation has sharpened its Alaska strategy after agreeing to acquire Savant Alaska, LLC for about $70 million in upfront consideration, before customary closing adjustments, plus contingent payments tied to future development of its eastern North Slope position. The proposed acquisition includes the Badami facility, with nameplate capacity of roughly 40,000 barrels of oil per day, the 80,000 barrel-per-day Nutaaq Pipeline, supporting field infrastructure, and interests across the Badami and Grey Owl units. It also adds around 104,000 gross acres and approximately 1,500 barrels per day of production. The timing is important because APA recently said it had paused Alaska drilling to reprocess seismic data and now plans a two-well 2026-2027 winter program, including one exploration well and one appraisal well. If completed by year-end 2026, the Savant deal could reshape APA’s Alaska execution model.
