Comfort Systems USA Is Riding the Technology Buildout—And the Backlog Tells the Story!

Comfort Systems USA delivered a record quarter and a record full year in 2025, supported by strong demand, especially from technology-related industrial work, and by higher profitability across both mechanical and electrical operations. Fourth quarter revenue rose 42% year over year to $2.6 billion, and full year revenue exceeded $9 billion, up 30%. Same-store revenue growth remained elevated, including 35% in the fourth quarter and 26% for the year. Gross margin exceeded 25% in the quarter for the first time, with consolidated gross profit margin at 25.5% and full year margin at 24.1%, reflecting improved execution, pricing, and project mix. Operating income rose sharply, and operating margin expanded to 16.1% in the quarter and 14.4% for the year.
