OGE Energy’s 600 MW Solar Deals Add A New Layer To Its Growth Story!
OGE Energy Corporation reported first-quarter earnings of $0.24 per diluted share, noting that this period typically accounts for about 10% of its annual earnings. The lower earnings compared to the same period in 2025—when it recorded $0.31 per share—were mainly due to milder weather and timing differences in operations and maintenance expenses, partly offset by reduced depreciation and interest costs associated with recently placed-in-service assets. Despite softer weather conditions, the company reaffirmed its 2026 full-year earnings guidance of $2.43 per share, anticipating stable customer growth close to 1% and a generally steady weather-normalized load. The company outlined several strategic initiatives defining its medium- to long-term trajectory. A notable development involves filing long-term special contracts with Google for data centers in Oklahoma, consistent with OGE’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).
