Badger Meter has reported its fourth quarter and full-year 2025 financial results, showcasing solid performance in a year filled with global trade challenges and strategic acquisitions. The company achieved a remarkable 8% year-over-year increase in total sales for the fourth quarter, bringing total revenue to $221 million. This growth was partly propelled by the acquisition of SmartCover, included in its BlueEdge suite, contributing to robust demand for its leading cellular AMI solutions. Positively highlighting the year, Badger Meter recorded year-over-year operating earnings growth of 10%, outpacing sales growth by expanding operating profit margins from 19.1% to 19.5%. Core components such as ultrasonic meters, cellular AMI, and SmartCover played crucial roles, driving gross margin to 42.1%, a 180 basis point increase from the prior year. The company’s strategic expansion is evident in its large-scale AMI projects. The SmartCover acquisition, consolidated into the company’s operations, reported $40 million in sales.
