Knight-Swift Transportation reported results for the first quarter of 2026 that reflected a complex operating environment marked by severe winter weather disruptions, regulatory impacts, and early signs of market improvement. Consolidated revenue, excluding fuel surcharges, was essentially flat year-over-year, while operating income declined by $38 million, impacted by $18 million in claim-related expenses in the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) segment associated with an adverse arbitration ruling and a $4 million Truckload segment charge related to a prior tax dispute in Mexico. Additional headwinds included $12 million to $14 million in net negative volume and cost effects from weather and rising fuel prices. The truckload segment faced volume declines, largely due to weather, but showed revenue per loaded mile growth of 1.4% excluding fuel and intersegment transactions.
