Description
Woodward’s Aerospace Breakthrough — OEM Revenue Jumps 34%!
Woodward, Inc. reported strong financial results in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, reflecting solid growth and operational execution across its Aerospace and Industrial segments. Consolidated net sales increased 21% year-over-year to $1.1 billion, while adjusted earnings per share rose 43% to $2.52, supported by pricing actions and productivity gains from ongoing lean transformation efforts. The Aerospace segment saw 19% sales growth to $709 million, largely driven by commercial aerospace, where OEM sales rose 34% in line with rising airframer build rates and commercial services increased 24%. Defense OEM sales declined 6% due to a one-time revenue recognition adjustment but excluding this, growth was mid-single digits. Margin expansion to 24% of segment sales was aided by strong price realization—including a one-time retroactive pricing adjustment—and increased operating leverage, partially offset by inflation and an unfavorable product mix.
