Akamai Technologies reported a solid performance for the first quarter of 2025, with revenue reaching $1.015 billion, marking a 3% year-over-year increase. Notably, their non-GAAP earnings per share surpassed expectations at $1.70, benefiting from lower-than-expected TSA costs and reduced payroll taxes. This robust revenue performance was bolstered by significant growth in the security and compute sectors, which combined accounted for nearly 69% of total revenue, highlighting Akamai’s transition from content delivery network (CDN) capabilities to a broader focus on cybersecurity and cloud computing.
