This is our first report on DISH Network Corporation, a leading provider of television entertainment and technology. DISH Network delivered a mixed set of results for the last quarter as it failed to meet the revenue expectations of analysts but managed an earnings beat. The company had an internal outage during the quarter, which is still having an impact on its internal servers and IT telephony. DISH’s wireless and broadband networks, as well as DISH and Sling services, are still up and running and functioning regularly. However, several of its internal communications, customer service operations, and Internet sites were impacted and are presently unavailable. The management anticipates expanding their current 30 million POP complete commercial VoNR coverage. DISH Network further launched Samsung-supported sites for the DISH Wireless 5G network, kicking off Samsung’s participation in the operator’s nationwide rollout. Its potential merger with DirecTV could be another positive for the company. We initiate coverage on the stock of DISH Network Corporation with a ‘Hold’ rating.
