M/I Homes Is Opening Stores at Scale—and Refreshing Its Growth Runway!

M/I Homes recently reported results for the fourth quarter and full year 2025, celebrating its 50th year in business as one of the nation’s largest homebuilders. The company’s operations showed resilience amidst a complex economic backdrop, which included challenges like affordability, economic uncertainty, and choppy demand. Despite these hurdles, M/I Homes delivered 8,921 homes and recorded $4.4 billion in revenue for the year. Pre-tax income was nearly $590 million, excluding charges of $59 million related to inventory and warranty items, marking a decrease from the prior year’s record of $734 million. Key operational highlights include a 9% year-over-year increase in new contracts in the fourth quarter, despite a slight full-year decline. The company’s community count rose by 6%, compared to the expected 5%, resulting in 232 active communities by year-end.
