Spectrum Brands’ Hidden Growth Engine: Pet Care, Pest Control & Digital Gains!
Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. reported its second quarter fiscal 2026 results showing a return to growth with net sales rising 4.9% year-over-year and adjusted EBITDA increasing by 17.8%. This marked the first growth quarter since early 2025, reflecting strategic execution and operational discipline amid continued macroeconomic uncertainty, including trade policy volatility and geopolitical tensions affecting some cost pressures. The company’s Global Pet Care segment demonstrated notable strength, with net sales up 11.2% (7.6% organic growth excluding favorable foreign exchange). Growth was supported by key brands such as Good ‘n’ Fun, DreamBone, and Nature’s Miracle, driving gains in both North America and EMEA markets. Robust digital channel performance and targeted innovation initiatives helped fuel market share gains. Adjusted EBITDA for this segment increased by $6.8 million to $56.8 million, reflecting higher volumes and pricing actions, partially offset by tariffs and increased trade spend.
