Sterling Infrastructure’s Expansion Into Texas & New Markets—A Growth Catalyst Or Integration Challenge?

Sterling Infrastructure reported a strong finish to 2025, with results supported by rapid expansion in its E-Infrastructure business, solid performance in Transportation Solutions, and continued cash generation. Revenue, adjusted earnings per share, and adjusted EBITDA all increased sharply, while backlog rose substantially, giving the company greater visibility entering 2026. The strongest contributor remained mission-critical work, particularly data centers, where project size, duration, and geographic reach continue to expand. Management also indicated that electrical operations acquired through CEC are scaling well and are beginning to reinforce Sterling Infrastructure’s broader site development platform, especially in Texas. A key positive in the quarter was the depth of demand within E-Infrastructure. Backlog, unsigned awards, and future phase opportunities together suggest a large pool of committed and probable work, much of it tied to existing hyperscale and mission-critical customers.
