Symbotic’s Hidden Software Story: 93% Growth Adds A New Layer To The Thesis!
Symbotic’s second quarter fiscal year 2026 financial results reflect continued revenue growth, expanded margins, and effective operational execution. The company reported revenues of $676 million, surpassing the high end of its guidance range, driven largely by the expansion of system deployments, which increased the base to 70 systems by quarter-end. Systems revenue rose 24% year-over-year and 8% sequentially to $634 million, supported by one system going operational for XSLT in Atlanta. Software revenue also grew significantly by 93% year-over-year to $13 million, attributed in part to a non-recurring adjustment but maintaining over 75% underlying growth. Operational services revenue was relatively flat year-over-year, with a slight sequential increase. Profitability improved with $9 million in GAAP net income compared to a net loss a year prior, reflecting expanded gross margins due to strong project execution, cost discipline, and scale. Adjusted EBITDA more than doubled year-over-year to $78 million.
