Dell Technologies’ $60.9 Billion AI Booking Surge — The Growth Engine Accelerates!
Dell Technologies Inc. reported a second quarter fiscal 2027 performance characterized by significant year-over-year growth and operational efficiency gains across its business segments. Total revenue reached $47 billion, a 58% increase, while diluted earnings per share surged 203% to a record $7.04. The company highlighted structural demand driven by data center modernization, artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, and an evolving IT environment favoring on-premises and edge deployments. The Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) delivered record revenue of $31.8 billion, up 89%, with an operating income of $4.8 billion and a margin improvement of 620 basis points to 15%. ISG’s AI server bookings hit a record $60.9 billion in the quarter, contributing to a backlog of $95 billion. Traditional servers and networking recorded 122% revenue growth, outpacing AI server growth in some respects, attributed chiefly to data center refresh cycles, increased security demands, and growth in AI-related agentic workloads.
