PACCAR Targets 42,000 Truck Deliveries As North American Demand Accelerates; But Is It Enough?
PACCAR Inc reported second quarter 2026 revenues of $7.5 billion and net income of $752 million, reflecting a 24% increase from the first quarter. The company attributed this growth primarily to strong truck division performance, complemented by record quarterly revenues of $1.75 billion and pretax income of $417 million in PACCAR Parts, as well as robust pretax income of $124 million from PACCAR Financial Services. Deliveries increased from 33,000 units in the previous quarter to 38,700, with third quarter truck deliveries estimated at approximately 42,000 units despite a normal European summer factory shutdown. The U.S. and Canadian heavy truck markets showed signs of strengthening with retail sales reaching 105,000 units in the first half of 2026 and an expected 145,000 units in the second half, totaling an anticipated full-year market size near 250,000 trucks.
