Watts Water’s $2 Billion Data Center Opportunity — Is The Market Missing It?
Watts Water Technologies, Inc. reported second quarter 2026 results characterized by record sales, operating income, and earnings per share amid persistent macroeconomic uncertainties. The company achieved a 19% reported sales increase to $763 million and 12% organic growth driven by strong demand in data centers, pricing actions, and pull-forward sales, partly offset by ongoing product rationalization efforts. All geographic segments contributed to growth, with the Americas up 12% organically, Europe 9%, and Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) 31%. Acquisitions added incremental sales, notably in the Americas and APMEA regions, complementing organic expansion. Adjusted operating margin declined by 60 basis points to 21%, influenced primarily by acquisition-related margin dilution and a challenging comparison against a previous year’s one-time price/cost benefit. Inflation and tariff-related pressures also weighed on margins, though these impacts were mitigated by favorable pricing, volume leverage, and improved productivity.
