Asana Goes All-In On AI Workflows — Here’s Why StackAI Matters!
The full first quarter fiscal year 2027 results for Asana, Inc. reflect a combination of steady revenue growth, operational improvements, and strategic investments, alongside challenges related to the evolving product-led growth motion and integration of new technologies. Asana reported revenue of $205.1 million, marking a 9.5% year-over-year increase and surpassing guidance. Growth was driven by strong performance across core customers—defined as those spending at least $5,000 annually—with this segment growing 10%. Additionally, the enterprise customer base (those spending $100,000 or more annually) expanded 12%. While the overall dollar-based net retention rate stood at 96%, Asana noted in-quarter retention improved to 97% for the fourth consecutive quarter. This was attributed to healthier seat adoption, multi-product usage including artificial intelligence (AI) offerings, and proactive customer engagement strategies. Profitability showed positive momentum, with non-GAAP operating margin improving by 720 basis points to 11.5%, and net income of $24.4 million or $0.
