Commerce Technologies’ $8.3 Billion GMV Engine: Can Revenue Catch Up?
Commerce Technologies, Inc. reported its first-quarter fiscal 2026 results with revenue of $86.8 million, representing a 5% year-over-year increase and surpassing the high end of its guidance range. The company achieved its first-ever GAAP net income, recording $3.7 million, alongside non-GAAP operating income of $12.4 million and an operating margin of approximately 14.3%. Gross merchandise volume (GMV) grew by 14% year-over-year to $8.3 billion, marking an acceleration compared to the 12% growth in 2025. Total annual recurring revenue (ARR) rose slightly to $359.8 million. The company generated operating cash flow of $18.4 million and free cash flow of $14.1 million, ending the quarter with $157 million in cash and equivalents and no significant debt maturities until 2028. The results reflect a continued operational discipline, including cost structure simplification and responsible management of stock-based compensation, which stood at 5.4% of revenue in Q4 2025—below peer averages.
