United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) reported its fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results, reflecting both positive developments and certain challenges. The fourth quarter of 2025 saw consolidated revenue of TWD 61.81 billion, marking a sequential increase of 4.5%, attributed to favorable foreign exchange movements and growth in specific technology segments. The gross margin reached 30.7%, an improvement from previous quarters, signaling enhanced operational efficiencies. Net income for the quarter stood at TWD 10.06 billion with earnings per share of TWD 0.81. For the full year, UMC achieved a revenue growth of 2.3%, with the total reaching TWD 237.5 billion. However, the net income attributable to shareholders saw a decline in earnings per share from TWD 3.8 in 2024 to TWD 3.34 in 2025, due to increased expenses and other external market conditions.
