Capri Holdings Limited: Will New Icon Accessories and Influencer Storytelling Spark a Powerful Gen Z Demand Wave?

Capri Holdings Limited reported its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2026 with a focus on strategic initiatives post the expected sale of Versace. The proceeds from this will mainly be used to strengthen the balance sheet by repaying a significant portion of the company’s debt. Consequently, Capri has announced a $1 billion share repurchase program to be implemented in fiscal 2027, signaling confidence in future cash flows and financial stability. The company’s revenue for the quarter was $856 million, down by 2.5% year-over-year. This decrease is attributed to various external and internal pressures, including a higher effective tax rate that adversely impacted earnings per share by $0.20. The Michael Kors segment reported a 2% decline in revenue, while Jimmy Choo’s revenue fell by 6%. Despite these declines, Capri Holdings experienced a sequential improvement in trends across both segments.
