Universal Health Services (UHS) reported its earnings for the second quarter of 2025, showing a mixed performance across its segments. The company disclosed net income of $5.43 per diluted share and an adjusted net income of $5.35 after certain adjustments. On a same-facility basis, adjusted admissions in acute care hospitals increased by 2.0% compared to the prior year. Though surgical volumes were slightly down, samefacility net revenues in the acute care segment rose by 5.7%, driven by effective expense controls and moderate growth in volumes.
