Atmos Energy Corporation reported net income of $1.2 billion or $7.33 per diluted share for the first nine months of fiscal 2026, reflecting a 14.5% increase compared to the prior year. The company reaffirmed its full-year earnings per share guidance of $8.40 to $8.50. Capital expenditures totaled $3.1 billion year-to-date, with approximately 87% allocated to enhancing safety, reliability, and the integrity of its distribution, transmission, and underground storage infrastructure. Customer growth remains steady and diversified, with nearly 51,000 new customers added over the 12 months ending June 30, 2026; approximately 39,000 were in Texas. The expansion includes commercial and industrial customers, with twelve new industrial clients anticipated to consume gas equivalent to 18,000 residential customers once fully operational. This growth coincides with Texas’s strong job market performance and an increase in Fortune 500 companies, underpinning the critical role of natural gas within its service territories.
