Is Intel’s Terafab Opportunity Already PRICED IN Before The Economics Are Clear?

Intel has found itself at the center of another interesting semiconductor story. Elon Musk’s recent comments have drawn fresh attention to Intel Terafab Plans, particularly the potential role of its next-generation manufacturing technology. Musk recently hinted at potential breakthroughs in chip manufacturing while outlining an ambitious timeline for Terafab. The project, backed by Tesla (NASDAQ) and SpaceX (NASDAQ), aims to build advanced chips for artificial intelligence, robotics, and other computing applications. Musk wants its first experimental chip working by mid-2027, with volume production potentially beginning in late 2028. That timing matters because Intel is preparing its next-generation 14A manufacturing process for a similar production window. Musk previously identified 14A as a planned technology for Terafab, while Intel has reported improving manufacturing results and growing customer interest. The investment question is whether Terafab can help turn Intel’s foundry ambitions into a meaningful commercial business.
